Lagoon Restoration

In the fall of 2006 CLA was awarded a water quality grant from the Lake County Stormwater Management Commission. Additional funds were granted by the Lake County Watershed Management Board and the Fremont Highway Commission. Funds were allocated to restore 950 feet of the riparian zone with the installation of ledge rock, boulders, and native and aquatic plants. The restoration project will deter shoreline erosion and help to improve water quality by filtering runoff into the lake. The balance of the restoration project was completed in 2007 however maintenance and monitoring will continue for many years.
